Airgunning Freinds,
September 4 being the first Saturday of the month, and our match schedule of the first Saturday of every month being carved in stone, our next TEXtreme competition is this-coming Saturday, September 4.
Per our established match schedule of shooting TEXtreme Field Target Matches every third calendar month, and TEXtreme Bench-Rest Silhouette Matches all other months, September being the ninth calendar month, and nine being divisible by three (in whole numbers), it’s TEXtreme Field Target time, Y’all!
All feedback suggests an excellent turnout, including at least three of our Oklahoma friends making the trip. I’ll take this opportunity to sincerely thank all my shooters, as the closest makes about a 150 mile round-trip; some travel over 500 miles for these matches! I’m honored, flattered, and THANK YOU ALL!
I’ve improved the placement and tuning of some targets and shooting lanes; in my opinion for the better. However there is a minuscule possibility of personal bias in that declaration, as changes in target placements have been, inexplicably, to longer distances. Don’t know why that is. Consequently, the overall course difficulty-factor is slightly higher than before (translate that, “ever”).
Per our Daylight Savings Time schedule, the first of two 32 shot matches will start at 2 PM. The second 32 shot match will begin upon completion of the first, after a short break to catch our breath, hydrate, and snack. Each match is identical in terms of consisting of eight lanes with two targets per lane, each target shot twice each, near to far, for a total of 32 shots per match, and both matches shot on the same course. What might be different between the two matches is wind conditions; and what will be different is position of the sun (affecting sparsely-shaded shooting lines).
Competitors may shoot either or both matches, with one or two guns, to contest awards for 32 Shot Match Winner and 64 Shot Match Winner. Awards consist of framed certificates and really cool hat-pins.
Gonna be A LOT OF FUN Y’all!
Match fees are $10 per match, collected in the form of score-card purchases.
I am attaching a set of newly composed TEXtreme Field Target rules. Vast experience proves I’ve probably overlooked something in composing the Poolichter Prize worthy document. Hence, I am accepting feedback and suggestions by conversation (only). My phone number is 254-253-1239, and I am available noon till midnight, any day. Non-verbal rules questions might be answered, but without explanation(s). Due to anticipated volume, I’d appreciate minimizing the frivolous, and concentrating on the pertinent.
See You Soon,
Ron And Maggyy
