Other Serpent Arms 28ga kills serpents!

Had a big gopher snake get caught in a rat trap tonight. It started going crazy and went after my cat dragging around the rat trap so to be humane I tested my new 28ga Serpent arms air shotgun!

it blew apart the head pretty good, I took the rest off with a shovel. Normally I'm not up for killing harmless animals but it was badly injured from the trap so I thought it was more humane to put it out of its misery.

The shotgun is really loud! I yelled FIRE IN THE HOLE before i shot because neighbors were outside.

The trigger pull must be 20lbs, it's ridiculously hard to pull. But for pesting it does a great job! I've tried 00 buck in the shells but it can only fit 4 pellets and doesn't seem to be super accurate with big shot like 00 or 00+.

Edit to add: the 28ga does very well with small shot like #1 bird or similar loads. For taking small game or target shooting with birdshot is what this gun is really good for, I think.

I've never seen the serpent arms shotgun, do you have a picture? years ago I had a ARS Farco 28 gauge CO2 shotgun.. but I'm assuming that yours is PCP? just curious about yours.. the Zeus I think is way too much for me.

Guns w/hard trigger weight such as yours (to me) are useless . The gun looks great but trigger pulls should never exceed a lb or so over the guns weight. Just my .02

@markhooper Thank you for that. Sometimes I really get it. I forget threads, details, or mix them up myself. Some days I feel like I’m not thinking as swiftly as others and other days I’m just tired. That’s part of why I try to link threads, tag people, or link sources so someone else can catch my mistakes if I don’t catch them. At the end here of the day we’re sharing information and the goal is to try to help people get the most accurate information possible.

well I'll explain myself a little better then 🤣🤣 so when someone says just search or look for it.. well it's about as helpful as my teacher was 40 years ago.. when I needed to know how to spell a big word to look it up in the dictionary..I just needed a little help or at least the first several letters but starting with just one letter that dictionary was no help, just a distraction as I would get it and start looking and see so many interesting words and definitions that I would actually read the dictionary and by the time I got done with whatever the letter the word started with I had read a entire section.. and also forgot what I was looking for 🤣🤣 learned a lot of new words, definitions, and I suppose it helped over time but didn't get my report done 🤣🤣..
same thing with the Internet, seems like I find about half what I am looking for and then other stuff..I found the member section awhile back, don't have a clue where it is.. and I usually get classified section by searching wts.. it's hard with the new app.. and updates on the Internet as things change and you have to find it all again.
