Decided to set my Leshiy up for low power to use inside farm buildings for pigeons and pest birds. I have the .22 cal. 350mm barrel in now and did an initial set-up with good results but it seemed the Huma regulator scale was not right on. So went ahead and ordered the Huma reg tester and decided to change to the analog manometer. With reg. tester it should be easier to set up the Leshiy more precisely for different caliber and pellet combinations. I went ahead and set the regulator at 95 bar and the hammer at plus 3 and that gave me between 13.6 and 13.8 fpe with the two pellet types tested. I want to see how many shots per fill I got so I shot 50 pellets at the target while watching the manometer. After that I proceeded to fire five more over the chrono. It finally came off the reg at shot 53 and that was from a 245 bar fill. That amount of shots will take care of a lot of pest shooting. Some pictures of my testing. Bill

I've done a bunch of tinkering is this space... I ended up with the sub 12 ft lb huma kit. I can shoot the .25 25gr up to about 18 ft lbs and obviously super low as well. I get 50+ shots in .25

It's an amazing gun. I never thought I'd would be loving a single shot. With a 350 mm 177 the gun was flat shooting the 10's and the 13's quite accurately. It was too cloudy to chrono, you got to love the versatility of this gun.

I am using the standard Huma regulator. It is pretty amazing the shot count you can get with such a small air reservoir. Bill
That is a great shot count for .25 cal. too. I have seen better fpe output for the same settings for the .25 vs. the .22 cal. In my Leshiy. I might later try some .25 cal pellet types for lower power settings. That .25 sure does make a bigger hole for knockdown . Bill

I love my Leshiy but I just wish it wasn't so loud. I've tried everything and it's still not as quiet as I'd like.
My P-rod shooting at 675fps was the quietest gun I've ever owned.
I'm with you Bill I have mine tuned down to shoot 680 fps with the 14.3 grain JSB .22 pellets.
I have the Russian additional air tube on mine so the shot count is really high.
It's a really fun gun to own.

If you really want to stretch the shotcount at low power, use the Huma 12 ft-lb plenum and reduced power hammer spring. I have my .22 Leshiy setup with the 12 ft-lb plenum, regulator set at 105 bar, and reduced power hammer spring and can dial between 2-21 ft/lb with the HST. Great low power close range pest blaster. I normally run it around 14 ft-lb and I think the last time I checked the shot count was around 75.
The stock hammer spring on my Leshiy was too strong for lower regulator pressures, even with the HST all the way backed off it was close to the regulator peak velocity. The reduced power spring that comes with the Huma 12 ft-lb kit gives a very large power adjustment range at lower regulator pressures.

That is good information to know and great shot count too. Since I turn the power up groundhogs during the season I decided to go with the standard Huma reg for the Leshiy. I am happy with getting 50 shots per fill which is a lot of pest shooting. Bill

If you turn the power back up then the standard plenum is the way to go. IIRC the 12 ft-lb plenum is good for about 23-24 ft-lb max before it starts becoming too inefficient (too high a regulator pressure required with the small plenum volume for that much energy.)
I only use my Leshiy for small critters in the backyard and inside various barns and shops, so it's always at lower power. When I want more power I grab my .25 R5M.

This is some good info here. I'm looking for a new rat gun and the versatility of the gun makes me want to pick up a Leshiy.

Toku you said you wish your was still quieter? Is that statement with the extended baffle kit in your pic? what FPS are you shooting?
