Other Sharp book - finally ready!

Hi,

I've been silent on this great forum for about half a year, because I was writing a book about my favourite airgun brand, Sharp.
Having a fulltime job as a veterinarian, I decided to write in the early mornings, when my ladyfriend was still asleep.
It was a fun project, and I received info from many people all over the world.
In April, I went to Japan to visit the old Sharp factories, and to meet a former Sharp employee, Mr. Ebisawa.
He was Sharp's barrel maker for 3 decades, from the early seventies.
Although Sharp is no more, their airguns are still valued by many shooters and collectors, and I thought it was time to give the brand some serious attention.

I had 80 books printed, all numbered and signed. The book launch was at Kempton Classic & Vintage Arms Fair in the UK, on 7 July.
Over 50 books are sold, but the rest is now available through Protek Supplies in the UK.

Kind regards,
Louis

Congratulations on the book!!! It would be great if one day it would be available through Amazon here in US as well. BTW, can you please post the cover of the book? I see that you have attached a picture to your post, but the link is broken and does not show anything, only a missing picture placeholder. Maybe that's where the book cover is supposed to be? Cheers!

Hmmm, I've learned something today. I never heard of "Sharp" airguns. Thanks for sharing (y)
Me too! Did not know about this company before. Looked it up on the internet right away to learn a bit of history. It would be great to get my hands on the book, the internet can only provide so much. Many thanks for sharing this with the community. As long as you live, so long you learn.
