Sheridan 2260MB. Power mod ideas?

Love shooting my Sheridan 2260MB. It's my favorite backyard gun. Any advice on getting a bit more power out of it for small pest control? Or is it asking too much from the gun. Not wanting to need more than one well-placed shot to take down small pests tearing up mama's garden. Nosy and picky neighbors, so I don't think a break barrel would be quiet enough. I have a suppressor on it and it's nice and quiet. Just looking for a bit more power. Any advice would be appreciated.

You could get a power adjuster from Magnum Air Power (MAP) https://onlinestore.magnumairpower.com/products/rifle-adjuster
Yes, it’ll cost a bit more than just a spring but it will allow you to adjust power levels as you want. Turn it in for more power back it out for less. If you have a chrony you can map out how much power and number of shots you get with number of turns on the power adjuster. It’ll also allows you to remove and swap springs without having to disassemble your gun. Makes it easier to experiment with different springs to see what works best for you.

But truthfully I’d save the money on mods for the 2260 and just leave as is and enjoy it for what it is and look at a PCP rifle that can more easily and readily deliver the power you want. There’s just more potential with HPA than with CO2. I’d suggest looking at the PCPs that have adjustable power via an adjustable transfer port. This way you can turn the power up or down as you desire. You might consider something like the JTS Aracuda or the Kral Puncher rifles or the Benjamin Craftsman series in the entry level. A $50 hand pump can get you started in PCP.

Either way it’s all about having fun and enjoying what you do with what you got, so which ever way you go, good luck.

I appreciate the advice. I shoot in the backyard, have a Buck-rail suppressor on it to keep the noise down. Someday hope to be somewhere where I can build a nice 50 yard range without the picky neighbors. Then, PCP all day!
