Tuning Sheridan blue streak 20 cal

buddy has a blue streak that leaking when pumps up out of barrel i guess , still shoots but looses air and wants it fixed. can someone point me to a good guy who will fix it or are they easy to fix as he is pretty handy. thanks guns a 1970 or so model he says or thinks

Baker I soon not user’s email herd few bad things on them and buddy wasn’t happy with a dreamline that supposed to be tuned when he bought it and was way out of tune so I did it for him. Mac-1 have a contact

I had mine repaired by TMacs in Hickory, NC. No issues. Forgot what I paid but I still shoot it. The bluing is worn off on top, but I don’t care.

Might be worth watching a YouTube video on disassembly of that gun. It might be easier to fix yourself if he can figure it out. Saves on shipping cost too.

If they are similar to the 392/397 rifles, they are very easy to fix. I had the same issue with a 397 and with a rebuild kit ($15) fixed it in about 30 minutes.

well he oiled it up and pumped it up shooting it for few dozen shots and it sealed up. just sitting to long i guess

Cool! You do need to be careful not to cross thread the valve lock nut when reassembling after a rebuild.

Can you help me with the right rebuild kit?

Where can I get a diagram of this thing, or some description of how it works?

Tell him to store it with two pumps in it. Mine is 26 years old and is still holding air perfectly.

Try the Alphabet org quick fix stop leak extend the pump handle all the way and generously overlube the pump seal work it in and if you are lucky it may seal after a day of working in and pumping even if leaking may stop. Worth trying you never can tell. Worst case scenario after that just replace the seals. DIY-able.
