Very nice! In addition to the flat head fasteners used on the forearm, the same were used on the trigger guard.
Interesting though, I recall the stock looks flatter on other examples I've seen.
Perhaps a very late '49 production model?
Can you post a photo of the leading edge of the forearm from the inside?

Thank you both for your valued input on the date of manufacture.
I believe that this one was purchased used in 1964 and I have had it ever since, along with a Tootsie Roll Benjamin pumper in 22 cal. Got a lot of game with it while a teen, along with my best buddy who also had a Sheridan and a Benjamin.

One of the few none serial numbered hold-down safety streaks that can be dated within month's of DOM.
A June or July 1956 silver streak.
Last of the bolt access hole on right side of receiver, and first of the dimpled/set-screw rear sight.
