SHERIDAN SILVER STREAK 1950 AIRGUN

Sounds good I will post more as soon as I get too trying to fix it! Still have to drive back to Michigan first!

Is it a .20 or .22

You will have so much fun with this little rifle. It's accurate and powerful. Critters trembled upon the site of my brothers and I as we left our house.

Doing the work yourself especially on Grandpas gun will be very satisfying. And it will save you $150

Thank you everyone for the help ! This is all much appreciated,

I'm not sure what a slab stock is but I do no the butt is flat it is just a bad Angled photo .

I also have the original sight (gen 1) on it and it has never been replaced, they started making the second generation sights in 51.

It is also the first gen of the push down safety feature.

There was a book I downloaded that went into great detail about the different model out there.

Thanks for all the knowledge !

Definitely hold on to those old tins of ammo!

Those old school pellets aren't very accurate anyway but very cool to have as conversation pieces for sure. Get some JSB .20 cals from pyramid air on line.

That's a great score you got there from grandpa and I strongly suggest getting it rebuilt professionally by Baker or Mac1 !

Will be like new and last for decades if you keep it lubed.

There is no serial number, my grandfather said he got it in the early 40s but with little research I didnt think it was possible, I also believe it is a model c but I'm not sure
You might want to double check that; your gun wasn't available to your grandfather until the very early 50's.
Looks like a '51.

A con guy emailed me these photos trying to sell me your gun. Unfortunately it happens all too often.
NIce gun btw.
I posted a wanted to buy for a FWB 120. Scammer sent me picks off of forum . I texted for days messing w him offering a lot of money. In end I said we gotta meet in person I only do cash deals! lol

Thank you for that information! I will try and oil it up tomorrow to see if its working! The pump slides fine and the gun clicks when you load it, it just doesnt hold a charge!
Baker Air Guns is in OH. not too far from you , give them a call ,YES IT IS WORTH REPAIRING ! Silver Streaks are wonderful guns accurate and good hunters , Squirrels and rabbit . Fun gun for targets / plinking .
Personally i would try oiling the gun and leave it sit a few days , Watch a few Youtubes .
Stan in KY .
