Sherwood Forest AAFTA Grand Prix June 21-23, Steubenville Ohio

I'd officially like to announce Sherwood Airgunners first ever Grand Prix event The Sherwood Forest AAFTA Grand Prix. This is scheduled June 21-23 2024 at our 50 acre facility on county road 384 in Steubenville Ohio. We will have 3 separate courses to shoot. A 10 lane 40 shot pistol match on Friday and our other 2 Field Target courses Sherwood Highlands and Hollow on Saturday and Sunday. I will have plenty more information in the future but just wanted to get this info out there if your planning on what GP events you can attend this year. We have no electrical or water campsite hookups. Most of the 50 acres is wooded with a parking area that we are going to have to be creative in accommodating everyone that I expect. There is hotels nearby in Steubenville and surrounding communities and a few regular campsites but I am not familiar with them.

The photo attached is our property lines with the parking area marked. Our sight in range is to the right of the facility...the open area to the left of the parking area is part of our Highlands course.

Chuck there are hotels in the Steubenville and Weirton West Virginia that would close to the club. Holiday Inn, Fairfield Inn and Comfort inn at Weirton WV and Best Western and Winggate by Windham in Steubenville.

Suffice to say the hollows course was challenging, swinging vines obstructing targets an added challenge and then there was the heat....

Had an awesome time and would definitely come back.
