Tom Kaye did us all a great service when he came up with the Shoebox compressor. It's made in America, built like a tank, user serviceable, and parts are always available. If you need help Tom will get back to you pretty quick. He and his wife are really good people to deal with. I think they may have lowered the price on the shoebox because of the new Air Venturi Power Booster. The Power Booster requires a more expensive 1st stage compressor that will run non stop. I think it's made in China and not really 100% user serviceable. I like the concept but prefer the Shoebox over the AV Power Booster.

When it all comes down to it......... Service service service! I've never been in a hurry to fill my tanks. But I would be in a hurry trying to find parts to fix my (overseas) compressor. A set of cheap o'rings and 30 minutes the SB is fully rebuilt.
That's a great price! Pays for itself quickly over running around town, or taking less shots because I'm pacing myself because I have limited air.

Not trying to hijack, tom & the shoebox certainly have helped many an aitrgunnner but ever since I ran across this I wondered who makes it, Tom? Other? $3,200 it seems like folks wanting walnut oil could mod a shoebox and save big$.

Naturally if you don't have one you will need a large bulk Co2 rifle ( opps, tank )........ .

The Shoebox compressor is great. I just rebuilt both cylinders on mine last night for the first time. It didn’t need to be rebuilt. But with shooting the big-bore so much lately and it raining out, It was a good time to do it. It took about an hour to do both cylinders. Pretty simple and straight forward. Would have taken a lot less time if I had a good set of snap-ring plyers. It’s not fast filling a tank. But I fill them in ahead of time. It only takes a few min to fill the rifle. Sure beats a hand pump for a 4500 psi fill. Wish I had paid the $450 price.

Yep that should work just fine per the Shoebox website. "You will need an oil free shop air compressor capable of 85 psi and about 1 cubic foot per minute output (125 psi and 3 cubic fpm output for the Freedom10 model)."
