Shoebox on last leg

After many years of ownership since 2008 a couple rebuilds , a few miscellaneous parts like belts and drive gears. It looks like I’m on my last rebuild. Yesterday while filling I started hearing the dreaded belt skip, I knew right away that the aluminum drive gear was worn and needed replacing. Luckily I did have one left. While I had it up on the bench I figured I may as well change any worn bushings and throw some new o rings and felt on the rods. I do have quite a few o rings and other parts but I’m on the last drive gear. I know some of the parts are available from ocolabs and went there to order a couple spares.
I’ve never dealt with them before and to my surprise they were in stock. That’s when I ran into problems. They would only let me put one in my shopping cart , I like to order multiples for future use. Then to add insult to injury the shipping for the 30$ part was 200$ US through UPS. Well you can forget that. At this point this great compressor that has served me well for many years is now on its last leg. I did send them an email asking if there were other shipping options but I doubt they will change their policy for one sale. Here’s the link for those who may be looking. https://ocolabs.com/product-category/spare-parts/

Looks like I’ll be shopping for a compressor, as the JTS I have just can’t handle filling my 6.8l tank.

Here is my cart I just made

If you want to take a look at a spreadsheet that has all of the parts available, except the custom parts like cylinders, and blocks, take a look at the attached spreadsheet (this has been up in the original thread for a long time by the way).
Almost ALL parts are for MUCH less than OCO Labs would charge too.
I hope that it opens, sometimes folks have trouble with opening, usually with a MAC. If so, PM me and I'll try that venue.

There was a new in box , original shoebox @ indiana show . $500 i didn't buy it . parts not available . Also it had a motor . I thought it was air drive as in a shop compressor to run it .

It only requires an air feed in order to boost the pressure from the shop PSI to the needed PSI for PCP's.
$500 isn't outrageous, but perhaps $300 would be a decent price if you happen to run across another.
Shoot straight!

Back when they were still producing the ShoeBox , i was talking to them and wanted the compressor to run the box and the feed to the gun / tank was Nitrogen. i think the model was using a tank that was below regulator pressure to run the shoebox and another to be the boosted air to the gun .

Gotcha.

Tom Kaye now makes CO2 compressors/boosters for the medical field at OCO Labs.

I have been in contact with Zack there, nice guy by the way, he talked with Tom, and Tom is willing to make special runs of parts if there is enough interest. It's just a matter of getting names and parts needed to get them to him in order to do so.

I don't recall any version of Tom's Shoebox compressors that used air power to run the Shoebox. I think all of them always used an electric motor to drive the pump. Is it possible that you are recalling a discussion with a company like Altoros that made a booster pump that worked as you describe?
