What do you guys think of shooting cleaning pellets through your guns safe on your gun effective?

I always fire one at the end of my cleaning routine, don’t know if it does any good or not. Doesn’t hurt anything.

They do very little so not worth the money. If you are going to shoot them through a springer you may want to shoot more than one at a time to help keep the piston from slamming into...

They are dirty when they come out. I remove my moderator just to be on the safe side. Not sure if it matters or not.

On my 22 caliber i use a length of parachute cord. Cut at an angle on one end and super glued for stiffness. Feed it down muzzle end then fold it and start angle cut part back into barrel making a small loop . As you push the angle cut back into breach end of barrel pull on para cord. This works for me and will usually get the barrel squeky clean. Also reusable and cheap. Sorry I dont know exact diameter of cord i use as there are different diameters but cord should fit easily into barrel

Just the graphite and lube from the manufacturing process. Nothing that is detrimental to accuracy.
Yup, always a good idea to remove the moderator when cleaning your gun.

IMHO, not an effective method of cleaning & just a waste of money. Tried them when I 1st started out & they were not effective on any of the 3 guns I had at the time. Ended up trashing 4 packages that I purchased. "Pull-throughs" are the way to go, be it Patchworm type or bore snake or home made pull-through.

I've loaded 4 or 5 into the breech of my HW30 and shot large spiders in my garage. No damage to the drywall and works like a shotgun.

haha nice. I think the big burst of air from most PCPs will take care of most unwanted little critters.
