Shooting Rest suggestions

I currently own the MTM Case-Gard Predator Shooting Rest which does a decent job for the most part, but it's clearly a budget shooting rest made entirely of plastic and doesn't offer the kind of stability, adjustability, and precision that I'm looking for. Does anyone have any recommendations for a more 'professional-level' shooting rest that would allow me to secure my rifle in place and then make precise adjustments to the elevation of the front and back of the the gun? Thanks!

I like my Caldwell Lead Sled “Plus” pretty well. Bought it at Cabela’s several years ago on sale for about $70 to sight in my powder burners and now I use it for my airgun also. They have several different models, with some minor improvement between the old and new, but they all are well made out of metal and probably weigh close to 15-20lbs. For shooting my punishing 300 Win magnum powder burner it allows you to put weightlifting plates on an integral shelf which greatly reduces the recoil to your shoulder. Of course not an issue with airguns, but an added bonus if you have both. I see them listed on Craigslist fairly often.

Really liking the build and sturdiness of the Caldwell stinger.

I'm leaning toward the Caldwell Lead Sled DFT 2 at this point. I've seen a couple good reviews on YouTube and I've seen some shooters who I respect using it. Not sure I really like the idea of using a bungee to properly secure the rifle to the device as you suggest doing with the Stinger. And as much as I am intrigued by the potential of the more expensive Caldwell Fire Control Full-length Rest and the Caldwell Lead Sled FCX, they are both a bit out of my price range unfortunately. Hopefully it works out and I'm happy with my choice... only time will tell!. Thanks everyone for your input!

Ditto! It's nice and portable too. My only gripe is that it's hard to balanced some top-heavier bullpups (e.g. my R5 Matador with my 7-35 on top). It pays to use velcro tie straps in cases like that 😬

that thing is pretty slick! im looking for one for my R5, how are you routing the straps to keep it sturdy and balanced, over or under scope?

Understand that I am not using the bungee as a permanent attachment to my gun while shooting, like as if there should have been something like that during the design of the Stinger. I only use that anytime I leave the bench, so if my son or whoever comes in the garage and bumps my shooting bench, or for any other reason, the bungee keeps my gun secure to the rest so it doesn’t tip off and go crashing onto the garage slab. I try really hard to take care of my stuff.

Once im back shooting the bungee comes off.
