Hunter Field Target class , the use of "sticks " are allowed . does that exclude standing position ? i did not read anything saying you can not . Really , i assume you can not

Where I shoot you could stand if you want. It’s a more difficult position but why would you want to. Usually we have 2 forced lanes 1 standing and 1 kneeling. Using sticks is easier than standing but it’s still not a bench rest

so in the forced standing you could use sticks ? , Just a question really , i have only been to one FT shoot at GOB

No standing is standing no stix you can use a sling attached to 2 points on the gun and around your elbow but that’s it.

Many matches have a stand at the standing lane where you can rest your rifle to range no mater what class you’re in but when the shot is takes you have to hold your rifle without resting on the stand. Some matches don’t have a stand and you can use your sticks to range but same thing goes, when you take the shot it’s all you.

There is NO standing position by that definition .... It is called OFFHAND

The Photo below is taken from page 12 of the AAFTA rule book. The Offhand position is the same regardless of division; Open, WFTF, Hunter.
