I installed a new scope. A big 5 to 50 March with a mil style retical. It does have a lighted retical for night time use on varmints.
I can now go from 60 to 300 yards easily, I can hold on my reticle and see my impacts. Very cool.
it was quite windy today. Once I figured out where it was hitting at 300, I moved into 150. An interesting thing happens when you move into 150 from 300. All of a sudden 150 seems much closer than it used to seem. I used to practice bowhunting at 75 yards. The 50 yard real life shot becomes quite simple…I digress.
there was 6 to 8 inches of wind at 150 yards today. Sometimes much more. Yet I was shooting consistent groups. It was so fun just to watch them come flying into the group. I was shooting the NSA 29 which I have tested before. I shot almost 300 rounds. It was just a blast.
I also scrubbed the barrel a couple of times today. One setscrew and the barrel is off and in your hand.
This thing really shoots. Again, a big part is the electronic trigger. It is absolutely awesome.
