Shooting this verses shooting that!

I've read numerous post as to why we shoot this verses that and there's something that I can't taker for granted and that's the freedom to do what we do with very few restrictions. I'm very fortunate being able to enjoy what's left of the American dream that is also fading before our very eyes. Being in a position to be able to shoot whatever and whenever I want to shoot is a privilege that many can't afford but that again is something that I won't take for granted. Being an American and being able to do what we do and whenever we want to it is a true blessing, whether it's a springer, CO2, PCP, SSP, MSP or just a plain sling shot. We go and do wherever our budget allow us and that again is something that many people around the world and even here can't afford. So, shoot whatever you wish to shoot, whether it's anything that I mentioned above and throw a rock if it makes you happy. Being able to do what we do is truly a privilege and a blessing that many people around the world can not afford.

We will have it exactly how long we protect it and no longer. Free men don't ask permission.

If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude
greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in
peace. We seek not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick
the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were once our
countrymen." --- Samuel Adams

The moment we trade saftey for liberty or wealth for liberty we lose it. We have seen how much liberty we have traded already for so called saftey or wealth but crime keeps getting worse and inflation keeps going up. I suggest keeping the airgun community strong and teach your kids the constitution. Remind them that our freedoms don't come from it. It's just a piece of paper made by men recognizing that we have a birthright to certain freedoms and to keep them we have a responsibility to exercise them and if need be water the tree of liberty with the blood of patriots..... And tyrants. Shoot those airguns with your kids and your neighbors, boyscouts and other shooting groups. Organize community outreach groups that shoot on the weekends. Give your time energy and money to raising up safe and moral youngsters and train them to be good marksmen. Sneak in some biblical truth in there and hope it rubs off on them. Spoiler alert it will. Just my 2 cents. 🤠

Simplyhooked, I agree with everything you said except for one thing. In this country it is not a privilege it is a right. I never take my freedoms for granted especially after seeing how other people live in this world.

Yes it is but the right is a privilege that I've seen where some people fall very short. The right to bare arms is a blessing, even a bb gun if you can afford one and that's my point.

You clearly get it man🤠

Thanks Raden1942, it's because of our rights to enjoy our freedoms in this country and the ability to enjoy our hobby, I have to say "thanks' to the ones that made it possible! Its' all because of the American dream that I can afford to buy and shoot some decent airguns, whether springers or pcps that makes this hobby worth it.

We have a Junior Sportsmen Program at our club. We counter the narrative by teaching as many youngsters as possible the basics of archery and firearms handling. .22 rimfires, bb guns and air rifles (mine) are used. They will grow up knowing the truth about arms... And remember the good times they had and hopefully pass it on to their future children.
