Is this air compressor good for the altaros booster pump I'm filling a 45min scba tank and a small guppy tank I'm not insanely worried on fill times

I imagine you've already seen this.....but if not.....

I'm using a California Air Tools, 20 gallon, 5.3cfm @ 90psi compressor. The model # is ‎20020. Look's like they're running about $500 on Amazon right now. I think I paid around $300 for an almost new one from my local craigslist. Lots of compressors on craiglist or facebook martkeplace usually, some are worn out crap, some are barely used.

I highly recommend the California Air Tools brand. The big pro for the CAT compressors is that they're much quieter than comparable compressors from other manufacturers. I've also got a little 5 gallon Dewalt pancake compressor that I think is rated about...
Mine is 110v
Even worse. 110V draws roughly twice the amperage of 220v.

But not to worry; depending on whether you get your electricity from Dixie ($0.1217 per kWh) or MS Power ($0.1438 per kWh) , your rate will be roughly 18.7 cents per hour or 22.1 cents per hour for the compressor in the OP. In addition to any other electric requirements. Not what I would use to base my decision, by any means, but it's a factor.

I have a 60 gallon 12 scfm @90psi gonna see if my dad will let me use it... Or I might buy a cheap 5scfm air compressor from harbor freight or Lowe's Ill be filling a small guppy tank and a 45 min SCBA tank

60gallon 12scfm @ 90 psi sounds great. At the same restrictor setting as mine, since I'm at about a 2:1 rest to run ratio, you'd have something like a 4:1 rest to run ratio. Napkin math here, since you've got a bit better than double the scfm.

As for the 60gallon versus 20gallon tank in the compressor, I'm a bit less certain on the math there. B/c you've got 3x the volume, but your compressor will also have to run for 3x as long on each cycle as mine does. But it'll also sit without needing to run for longer than mine....might be a wash. I think the more relevant difference is the scfm, of which 12 is much better than 5.3. 😃
