Approximately in a week or two I will have a 11’x 13’ spare bedroom for my gun room. I’m trying to plan ahead for it.
What’s the best way to display your guns on wall space?

I would like to see them and be able to grab them with ease. All my guns are springers.

Is it better storing guns horizontal or vertical? 30 guns

I would like to set up a permanent workstation so I can start working on the guts of the guns. (I was working on the kitchen island before.) Not saving marriage.

If possible if anybody could share pictures of their gun racks on the wall and also workstations would be greatly appreciated? Crow

slotted boards from Menards and paint whatever color you want, some people use peg boards too. Just a thought.

Vertical/horizontal???

That issue is not that important now with the small amount oils used in springers today.

Grease is used on the spring.

I store my air arms vertically because of the type of gun rack I have.

Too, it can be argued by some that your springers should be stored with the barrel out of battery (not in contact with the breech seal) so to preserve the status of the breech seal. All of my springers are stored this way except the Daisy Model 25 & Avanti 499b.

The final layout is yours.

That's a lovely setup Joe!

@crowski

I've seen this setup on a YouTube episode of Forgotten Weapons from Matrix Armory Firearms Display System. Looks pretty cool but I don't know what it cost.

Here's another wall display system from MOD Walls.

This is my 4x8 closet, it’s tight while working on guns, but it works. If things get too cramped, I set up a six foot folding table just outside the closet. Husky workbench with drawers. Lots of shelves for pellets, cases and accessories. Pups hung on rubber coated hooks and long guns on vertical rack.

It might be a small man cave, but it’s an impressive man cave. I’d like to see what you could do with a bigger space!

Most of my rifles are stored vertically in my safe. My pistols are horizontal on the safe walls and door. I do have three stored outside of the safe, but they are on shelves, horizontally, on their sides.

All of the vertical guns have a cut off sock (at the heel) over the barrel / silencer to help keep out junk floating in the air. Kinda like an air filter.

Just look into your vacuum cleaner bag to see what's floating around in the air..! How often do you go chasing cobwebs to get rid of them ? My safe is not sealed, airtight, so I figure an ounce of prevention...

boards with angled holes on wall which is coming down. Slid in two dowels. Holds nice, That’s my R9 I just got. I’ll play around with the Angles and the length of the dowels. 2 inch stock is better for verticals to keep the gun and scope away from the wall. Two boards vertically on the wall with holes on an angle 1 inch apart should work and hold several guns. Crow

Joekrooz I like your pellet storage (and writing on side of tins) and how you utilized every square inch of your room.
