All true. Martin is still making Theoben /RAW stuff and RAW is owned by AF.

I don't question the Theoben quality, I was just wondering if it's essentially the same design as the RAW. As Scott mentioned above, except for the side lever, it is.

Basic layout of Mono blocks internals .. valve, poppet, hammer, regulator, end caps ALL INTERCHANGE @ 80% tho there are small fitment differences making the last 20%. Running changes, true English Non FAC guts to the USA FAC spec's. Even the STOCKS of the Rapid / MFR Theobens swap with Non X RAWS having the RAW cut out for the V fill/gauge manifold & Theo's not. ( Tho can be easily cut in )

Agree. I had an English or two and one of the first 50, #45 made in TN.Love my Theoben mkii and my Dawson Rapid....it is like comparing a 65 mustang to a 2024 electric mustang. Which one is better.....anyone with half a brain cell will say the classic.
I wouldn’t mind a .357 RAW though just for Coyotes or if my state ever opens up Whitetail.

No idea, haven't heard a peep since. Like I said in an earlier post, the name and designs were purchased when RAW moved to the USA. There are unions and collaborations all the time. This never has been a mega business, and with all the new guns out there it is hard to keep your head above water.

Not Really purchased...
Martin Rutherford was the CEO of Theoben at the time of it's demise....
Since had the Keys for the place.... He picked what he wanted....
Also David Slade had his hand into the Rapid side of things in the later days....
Remember the Last Rapids Where made HERE, with Theoben USA stamped on the side of the Receivers.

Well if i was to choose between a classic pony car and the latest pony car,,,,,,, i would be going for the classic, even if its not really performers in any way.
I would probably also have to snatch up the dodge, so i have both cars from Bullit.
I would however prefer if Theoben came up with something new, but just as nice as their old stuff was as far as i know, CUZ i newer handled one.
But no reason starting making rifles from decades ago again.

I'm relatively to to the Theoben world myself but of the 3 (soon to be 4 
) that I do own, I really don't see how they can improve on the previous designs. I know the triggers get some hate but once adjusted I found them to be pretty darn good. If they were to do a limited run of 2024 (or whatever) SLRs and Dual Magnums I would be all over them.

No news about the Theoben resurrection?

Well the news is out, it seems to a limited run of Raw HM1000 blocks and not a return of Theoben.
So it will be a Side Lever Rapid (Raw) block with the Theoben name on it which can be ordered with different stock and/or bottle options.
No gasram breakbarrel rifles, no Bold action Rapids, nothing new but a limited run.
I am dissapointed, was hoping for gasram rifles and some new source for Theoben Rapid parts.
In my opinion its a way to get higher seals in the uk due to the fact that Theoben still give a warm feeling.
3000 dollar plus buys al lot of other nice stuff
