After a long talk with Ernest, I decided to pull the trigger on his new Titanium short throw titanium cocking lever. I have a good friend here in Alaska that had a Dreamline snap the small lever between the gun and the cocking handle on a winter snowshoe hare hunt. It was about -10° and the metal was pretty brittle. That was the primary reason I decided to upgrade, being titanium it is going to be much stronger, less prone to wear and not quite as brittle in the cold temps we get up here. It is also significantly lighter, but on such a small part, that has no real noticeable affect on the weight.
For me, I didn't think much about the short throw part as I am not really a speed shooter, but after installing it yesterday I can tell you that is really my favorite part about it. Its considerably faster to cock, so a followup shot on an animal will be significantly quicker with less motion, and the shorter length of it lets me never take my hand off the grip. It puts the handle in the perfect position. The cocking effort wasn't noticeably changed for me, and the install was extremely easy with Ernest's video guide.
