Shortening a Crosman stock

I just picked up a Benjamin p- rod and it is a great little pistol. Although the Crosman/ Benjamin stock is too long for mounting the shirt scopes that I like to use. The UTG bugbuster is a great little scope for a gun like this. The problem is that the scope sirs way too forward and you have to crane your neck to get close enough 

So I trimmed about one and a quarter inches off the stock and now it's great.

Nice. What adhesive did you use? 

I'm thinking about doing something similar with mine but I'll also cut a wedge out of the lower section to raise the cheek height up.

Do you have a picture with the Bugbuster attached with the modified stock?

I used epoxy with the wooden dowels for support.

It is also supporting a Donny FL sumo, this thing is now. Nearly silent.

The 1399 stock is IMO too long for most people. But as youve learned , its easy to shorten.



now we need Crosman to make one with an adjustable cheek riser so its even better with scopes

I took some two inch foam rubber and wrapped it around the buttstock and wrapped with electrical tape. It didn't turn out too bad.
