Should I buy a handpump with higher bar than the rifle?

Buy a compressor and be done or look for a bottle for a good deal, I just picked up a 74cubic inch carbon fiber bottle for 300$. So much nicer then a hand pump
Yeah, compressors never have any problems and are REALLY cheap to fix when they do... (hiding my face as I chuckle)

Seriously, if you REALLY need a compressor, then buy one. If you shoot a LOT, have a larger caliber airgun that uses a lot of air per shot, or even if you have an airgun that is poorly tuned so it takes more air for each shot (wasting air)... well, you may NEED a compressor. If you have a large bottle/tube on the gun or a bottle you use to refill the tube/bottle on an airgun, especially if you shoot a lot and especially if you shoot a lot in one session... BUY A COMPRESSOR! Damn.. it really IS just that simple.

However, even a large bottle on an airgun can be easily filled with a hand pump if it is refilled after a certain amount of shots (depending on the airgun, tune, etc) and before the bottle is so low that it takes a lot of pumps with a hand pump. Choices, choices....

At some point even I may decide to buy a compressor, but to say "buy a compressor and be done" is simply an ignorant statement.

MANY folks get along just fine with a hand pump. Like me. If and when I really NEED a compressor, you can bet I will buy one.

But for now... I don't NEED one.

And to imply that buying a compressor ends the problems (Buy a compressor and be done...), well, to be nice, you simply are not being honest.

I call them as I see them. (smile)
