should I get a shoebox compressor?

That's an awesome setup and great post azuaro. I'm about to purchase my first PCP. I plan on starting out with a Hill MK4 hand pump and save up for a Shoebox Freedom 8 or the Max to include a Great White CF tank from JoeB. The hand pump will later be stored away for backup.

The Shoebox a friend has is super slow. 
By the time you get it all to make it work well, you are close to a Bauer, which is all you need, and a heel of a better machine, no matter what an engineer says.

I have looked at a daystate that is priced at $2995. Give me a link for the Bauer that is close to the set up price for a system using a shoebox?

The Bauer Jr is what I should have said, and just google it.
Many places sell , even ebay sometimes. 
Compressor shops have used ones also for sale at times. 
Just do your homework, you will see, if you add up QUALITY COMPONENTS, it adds up.
