What's your fpe and shots per fill?
30-33 shots, 3 magazines from 240 BAR to 135 BAR, TP on high, 725 FPS avg., just under 17 FPE. This is how the gun came out the box, only adjustment I made was to lighten the trigger pull. If I had to pick between my Pathfinder or the Atomic? The Atomic without a qualm, powerful enough in actuality and can be supported with just a hand pump. SCBAs, fill stations, HPA compressors, not necessary. Just a hand pump and off you go. And unless you’re in an intense pesting environment or miss a lot, shot count is overrated. And for small game hunting in NYS the bag limit is 6. So plenty for a day afield of small game hunting. Hope that helps you and the OP.

Buy what ever you like. most of todays guns can be set to a pretty low pressure.
My Ghost, my M3, my old Daystate Pulsar (all .22 cal.), and others are all set to about 800fps (+/-). My range is short, I don't need a 900 psi shot to do the job in my case. They are still very accurate to about 50 yards (maybe more !).
I also turn the regulator down. No sence in beating up the guns guts for a low pressure shot.

And...your brothers in the UK,(and other locations) are subjected to laws that prohibit high pressures. And...somehow, they can still...hit their target.

So yeah, just make sure the gun of your desire has an...adjustable regulator...and buy what you like.

We think of these guns in the sub 20 fpe range as low powered. That supposed low power is overwhelming on small critters at sub 50 yard ranges with good shot placement. The OP knows what he wants…

I agree, but the Ranger or Atomics come set up at lower power and pressures out the box. And the platform if not over scoped or accessorized. Is sweet handling, mild mannered, and accurate within its practical range. I simply love manipulating mine, effortless to deploy and did I mention simply deadly on small critters?

Everyone talks about the Huben K1 with respect to the higher power side of things, but it can do great things at low power too.

My .22 normally runs around 32 FPE with JTS 18.1 pellets all summer long, but over the winter I dial back on the power wheel and shoot in my basement and run it as low as 6 FPE (400 fps) with those same pellets - and it can go lower too, but I have seen no need as I get can shoot about a tin of 500 on one fill as is. Of course I adjust the scope when I do this, but here is the interesting point: I also do it some in the summer to eliminate chipmunks nesting near the house. I simply have learned the holdover needed for the lower power. 12 clicks on the power wheel (3/4 turn) and it works flawlessly with no "burner" shots needed between rounds. I've even done some testing on groups alternating between shots (fast, slow, fast, slow etc.) and it does great.

While a Huben is expensive, it can fill so many needs really well with just the one gun . . .

I don't have a pic handy, but a Beeman R7 aka Weihrauch HW30 would be a good choice. My .177 shoots about 7fpe with a 7.9 gr. pellet. Nothing needed but the gun and pellets. I have a peep sight on mine because I shoot paper and plink with it, but you could put whatever optic on it makes you happy.

These guns are so easy to cock and shoot it keeps me smiling for as long as I want to pull the trigger.
