Western Airguns Sidewinder dry fire and sekhmet

Good evening AGN.
I bought a used sidewinder with a bottle gauge and reg gauge by sekhmet on it. Very cool rifle however very new to me and I made a mistake, trying to figure out how bad this mistake may be before reaching out to an airsmith.
I was having issue getting the mag to index so last weekend I was out shooting and fixing it. Got the mag to index properly but on my 4th mag right after my refill I forgot to insert my magazine. Dry fired once with no mag (heard that’s no good) and noticed some possible tiny metal shavings in the breech( note I didn’t closely inspect breach until this day fire so may have been there.) then noticed my bottle sekhmet gauge was not on. Still can’t get it to come on or power up. I did successfully fire a mag after this mishap but no gauge pressure or power to the gauge
Any and all insite is welcome.
Lesson learned, just need to find out how expensive this lesson is

Dry firing is not good for your hearing but I don’t think it will damage the gun. I’ve done it many times with an empty mag. I don’t see how the dry fire can affect the bottle gauge, given that it’s so far back in the “system” of air delivery. Never used that gauge but perhaps it needs a battery or charge?
Okay that’s some good news. This gauge does need charging but won’t accept a charge now either. That would be great if I can just swap gauges and call it a day

Dunno if this will help but some small devices won’t charge if they are plugged in to a beefy(high wattage) charger. My laser sight won’t charge from an iPad adapter but is ok with my tiny old iPhone charger…

Thank you I’ll play around tomorrow. Turns out the tiny metal pieces were clippings from the moderator. Eventually I’ll have it all panned out
