I have done some research but some things that are doable are not always commonly done or documented so I’m asking here. The M17 is double action only. What I am wondering is if there is a lever or some sort of device that will cock the hammer, effectively converting it to single action. I would prefer, if anyone knows that such a thing exists that will work on the M17, that it not interfere with the natural design of the gun and the double action when disengaged.

Actually nevermind. I just figured something out. If I pull the slide back and then pull the trigger back and release both at the same time, the slide locks back and the hammer is cocked.

Yeah, so locking the slide back with the trigger doesn’t actually cock it. Forgive my noobness.
