Didn’t they get the military contracts? I imagine that’s where all the money is to be made.Well, they seem to have sold everyone they made so it is strange why they abandoned the thing. Especially when they still have a wide selection of C02 assualt rifle and pistols for sale.
How well does yours shoot ?Crazy, bought a .22 wood stock ASP20 from a member on this site in November 2022, total price paid including shipping was $425. Not going to let it go regardless of what they seem to be selling on eBay.
Shoots great, with awesome accuracy and must say velocity is as advertised since it destroyed a cheap Crosman pellet trap. I only intend to use it one large pest like skunks and raccoons, maybe a coyote every now and then. How well does yours shoot ?
Mine started off at slightly better than spec but after a couple times tins 22 ft lbs was the norm.Shoots great, with awesome accuracy and must say velocity is as advertised since it destroyed a cheap Crosman pellet trap. I think Sig going to get into the high end PCP rifle market.I was really surprised to see them discontinued so fast by all accounts SIG was trying to make a big splash in the BB springer market seems like they didn't give that gun a chance.
Huh? Easily scratch finish? I have the wood stock and doesn't have a single scratch on itMine started off at slightly better than spec but after a couple times tins 22 ft lbs was the norm.
Still a sledgehammer though. I just didn't care for the bulkyness or the easily scratched finish.
Sorry !...I was referring to the metal finish. The black coating does scratch off quite easily.Huh? Easily scratch finish? I have the wood stock and doesn't have a single scratch on it
I doubt it. There too involved filling police and military contracts.I think Sig going to get into the high end PCP rifle market.
Thank would be interesting to see what they come up with there. They made a big investment to creating air rifles seems like a logical move for themI think Sig going to get into the high end PCP rifle market.
I don't doubt you. But this is the first time I hear that and I own 2 and have talked with many owners. First time I hear of such a thing.Sorry !...I was referring to the metal finish. The black coating does scratch off quite easily.
To bad Sig didn't just go with a rich bluing instead.
Then you've been lucky. I had to move the forward barrel sling ring on mine and the finish cameI don't doubt you. But this is the first time I hear that and I own 2 and have talked with many owners. First time I hear of such a thing.
That is not a muzzle break on the Sig, it is an actual moderator. Then you've been lucky. I had to move the forward barrel sling ring on mine and the finish came
off where the old ring location was. Plus, the finish on my muzzle break came off when it barely
rubbed on a metal latter I rested it against. I get why Sig went with this type of metal finish versus
bluing. They were trying to keep the cost down on the rifle. I paid $429 for my wood stock version
while the synthetic stock model could be picked up for $349.
