Sig Sauer MCX,Semi Auto Pellet Rifle

Hello Everyone,
Newby here. Can’t get any answers. Want to change over from C02 to HPA. Is there an affordable, efficient hand pump to fill a Air Ventury 3000 psi tank? And if I switch to high pressure air rather than C02, Can I Diesel a pellet with a semi auto. It has a plastic magazine and half plastic half metal belt. I’ve read about all the dangers of adding accelerants to the projectile, but I’m very curious. Thanks for any and all info.
This thing is TOO FUN!

You can get a HPA conversion package that comes with adapter and 3000psi tank, regulated out to around 1000psi.
The CO2 output is around the same 1000psi, maybe a little less, so you won't be getting any significant jump in power.
The Sig is not designed to handle more pressure than CO2, so I would NOT recommend running an unregulated 3000psi bottle into it.
Can you increase the regulated output to 1200psi and get away with it? Maybe, but do so at your own risk.

My son has the Sig MCX and MPX, both with HPA conversions. It is a fun plinker, but accuracy is not ideal.
With the plastic feeding belt, i don't see how dieseling the shots could possibly have any good outcome.

This gun is great fun, absolutely the most popular gun during family shootouts!

Hi,
We used to go to a paintball store to refill our 4500psi guppy tank with 3000psi regulated output, which is then used to fill the HPA tank for the Sig MCX/MPX back up to 3000psi. We also have a couple of PCPs that we filled this way. Then it got old really quick and I caved and just bought a 4500psi compressor.

Hand pumping the Air Venturi 3000psi HPA conversion tank is doable. Every full fill to 3000psi gets you about 250/300 shots on the Sig down to about 800psi before you have to pump again. The pellet velocity really drops off when the HPA tank drops below 1000psi. If hand pumping, it might be less tiring and much easier to just hand pump to 2500psi and shoot down from there. You will get about 200 shots from 2500psi down to 1000psi. Or even pump to just 2000psi, much less effort, shoot 130 shots and pump again.

Best,
Frank
