SIG Virtus bottle leak & options

I've been working with SIG for about 4 months trying to get a replacement air bottle. The one that came with my new rifle leaks and won't hold air for longer than about an hour or two. Sig support has been responsive to my questions and emails and said they'd send me a new one with exchange of the one that came with the rifle. Been waiting a long time for the replacement and just found out yesterday that they will no longer stock the bottles. Question 1) has anyone else had the leak issue? 2) Can you recommend a 3rd party replacement bottle that will work with the Virtus? This is my first air gun but I'm not new to firearms. Need some rookie help.

Why do you wanna spend (WASTE) more money on a gun that don't work as it should in the first place?

PLUS no FUTURE SIG bottle support? WHAT???

I'D ASK FOR A REFUND!

Where exactly is it leaking?

It may be minor such as only needing yellow gas line Teflon tape on the fill nipple and or manometer (pressure gauge) threads.

Start at 2:00 and don't use locktite! Follow instructions how to properly wrap the yellow Teflon in the proper direction of the threads for you fill nipple and cause. Be sure the air is completely empty first.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I can't return it. Bought it new from a dealer on GunBroker and they don't take returns. I like the rifle other than the leak. The leak is in the main seal, what would be between the green and black parts in the video you provided. Is there another brand bottle that would work on the Sig and allow me to use the factory buttstock?

If you are certain that it is only leaking around the main seal of the regulator (the black part in the above linked video) it should be easy enough to find replacement o-rings for it. I would remove the bottle from the rifle and inspect the threads and mating surfaces of both the rifle and the regulator. If there is no sign of marring of either I would fill the bottle (still separate from the rifle) and spray a mix of water and a few drops of dish soap around the regulator to ensure that there are no leaks of any sort there as well. This should allow you to narrow down any leaks. Good luck and let us know what you find.
