Last week I posted about the joy of seeing and shooting after cataract surgery. I was further inspired by the reports of using iron sights again. It was so great to see my sights on my old Gamo Silver Shadow 1000 .177. All was going good till I couldn’t sight it in at 25yds. All shots low. Thought spring or seal was shot, nope ,crono at 815 avg. Well I had to try my first barrel bending. Happily after many attempts I got it pretty good, may have to tweak it a bit later. Too darn hot today, 93f real feel 99. Any way my shots are all in a 3 inch Shoot n’ see at 25 yds. That’s a good enough group for today.. I used to have a scope on it for years and never realized a barrel droop. Stay well all
