HW/Weihrauch Sight Won't Fit

No luck in trying to mount a NIB Weihrauch front fiber optic sight on my HW50. The rails on the sight tunnel won't stay engaged within the barrel grooves. I can't seem to keep both rails in the grooves at the same time. I see no way to widen the gap between the rails, even with the mounting screw removed. I've mounted these front sights on R7s and an HW30 in the past., although the tolerance is always tight. Any insider trick to installing this sight?

Those sights are sometimes cast tight. I doubt the barrel is off. I've had to drive a screwdriver blade in the Weihrauch sight slot to widen them enough to start on the dovetail. I'm not sure that can be done on the F/O front sight without damaging the pseudo globe /protection rings. A small triangle rifle file and some careful fettling inside of the sight will get it to work in any event

I'll try again, today. These sights are hard to find. Most places have them backordered. I was lucky (?) to purchase this online from a dealer in Portugal. If it has a defect, I'm really out of luck trying to return it. Thanks so much for your responses. I'm new to this website. Very impressive!
Success! I found the courage to tap a 5/16" flat screwdriver blade about 1/8" deep between the sight rails. Bingo. The sight engaged and I was able to knock everything back into the barrel grooves with a plastic mallet. Funny. After I paid $50 for this tiny, fragile looking unit, I lost my nerve and common sense. One little prying nudge was all it needed. Thanks, guys.
