Not sure if this has been discussed or not (I couldnt find much searching). But I just thought I would share my experience with the Wraith 4K. I purchased it brand new from Optics Planet and was under the impression that it had audio recording based on all the online info. Well, I DL a few videos and noticed there was no audio, so I called SightMark's tech line which was a joke. I told them what model I had, and they said yes it has audio, they asked if I was DL'ing the file to my PC I said yes. He said OK let me see what I can find out..... after about 5 mins of waiting, he said let me do some asking around and I'll call you back... He never called back to I submitted a tech support ticket explaining the same thing and was promptly replied back to saying sorry but bases on the issues I am experiencing I need to send it in for warranty service. So I then submitted a RMA request for service and that was denied stating that they have consulted their R&D team and the Wraith 4K SM18040 does not have an onboard mic for audio. They also stated that all info stating it has an on-board mic is in the process of being corrected which of course has not happened in the 2 weeks since my interaction.
So... I guess let this serve as a warning don't expect audio from you Wraith 4K. They also offered nothing in return for this false claim other than just return it to Optics Planet if I'm not happy. I did obtain an RMA to return it but have not done so because I can't find anything comparable at that price point. Overall, I am just disappointed that they don't even know their own products.
