I was very curious about Silentthunderordnance.com because there were no videos that I could find.
WOW..I'm glad I took the step and placed an order for an LDC for my pcp airgun! I ordered the Falx Moderator
and it came to my door(beautifully packaged) in 2 days. I put the shroud (LDC, airstripper) on my Huben and
it was very quiet!!! I can highly recommend this business.

Maybe marketing? Anyone ever think the reason they don’t call back right away is so people can say they’ve gone silent?

Had you tried any other moderator on your Huben, or just the Falx? If so, how did it compare to what you had used on it - they definitely are quieter with a moderator on them . . .

I enjoy my STO's, to date I have not found a more effective moderator for high-energy-for-caliber applications. But, there is always a but. I've found my Sarissa's do require a bit of maintenance/attention. Similar to the DFL felt migration issue, STO's little foam donuts will pile up at one end, the outer dense foam sheet can in turn migrate into the projectile path. Significant buildup of lead dust will wedge itself between the 3d printed core and housing, if left unattended this can shift/flex the core to the point of misalignment.
An accidental double feed or perhaps an accidental shot taken with a loose suppressor can get very expensive with those intricately 3d printed cores.
Very effective moderators, but they do have their quirks.

I have had the ridiculously over-priced Talon Tunes Indonesian moderator (6inch). Also the Koi from Donnyfl. They all work pretty well but STOrdinance is the quietest. But I was warned about lead dust build -up..trying Weirauch next. I've heard very bad reviews of O db. Thank you for comments and questions. They really help me make purchase decisions..to---AlanMcD and Mcleod.

I hadn't thought of lead dust buildup in the moderator. Since the design is based on a tesla valve, washing it out with water and then drying with compressed air should clean it.

There's no substitute for periodic disassembly/cleaning/inspection with this style moderator, IMO. The core needs to come out....
I cannot speak for others, but my applications for the Sarissa range from an 11.5" barreled .22 pellet shooter that sends 18gr 900fps up to .25 slug shooters tuned from 85 to over 100fpe Sometimes hundreds, sometimes thousands of shots per week.
When used in such a way, those foam donuts will migrate to one end....lead will become wedged between the edges of the tesla diode area, and begin to shift the core. Clipping will occur and that intricate tesla diode system will begin to become damaged. Periodic disassembly is required, at least under this type of usage.
Here you can see where the lead dust begins to bond to the core. gravity, pressure, and vibrations basically pack the lead dust between the core and outer shell. Next time I take one down and the foam donuts have migrated I will share a pic.

I'm looking to buy a STO Falx moderator for my .22 Benjamin Marauder.
But I read somewhere that I'll be required to remove the 7 baffles and spring out of the Marauder's barrel shroud for it to retain accuracy and for the Falx work correctly.
Will removing these baffles increase the sound and then the Falx will reduce it, back to the original level, or quieter which is the goal ?
I;m wondering if this is a worthwhile endeavor ?

A stock .22 marauder is pretty darn quiet as it is. Have you tried installing a good depinger? It makes a huge difference in the noise you are hearing. You may find that this is just what the doctor ordered for getting to the point you want to be at with your marauder. Much of the noise you are hearing is the reservoir pinging when you shoot. The depinger gets rid of that noise and it makes a very substantial difference. It’s one of the cheapest mods you can do that makes the biggest difference to what you are hearing when you are shooting.
If you are dead set on getting a STO i would recommend buying a short shroud from hillairguns and the 1/2 unf endcap for it. And to answer your question, yes removing those factory baffles will greatly increase the noise level, as well as introduce turbulence which has some effect on accuracy.
The Falx would probably be equal to or greater than the effectiveness of your current state. STO’s require a certain amount of pressure to work well. If you add one to the end of your factory shroud with baffles you will NOT be able to see the full effectiveness of the moderator, as the pressure gets dissipated through the original shroud. So ideally if you go that route you will benefit from the shorter shroud and the threaded endcap to work with the FALX.
I’d recommend also checking out hillairguns. They have a simple but sturdy moderator that will thread directly into your current shroud that works well for the marauder, he also sells short shrouds, depingers and an EXCELLENT barrel band for your marauder.

Another thing you can do to quiet down the Marauder a bit is to drill out the holes in the front shroud mount a bit bigger, to let more of the initial blast of air pressure find its way into the rear of the shroud. They are a bit undersized for the job, and making them a bit bigger won't compromise strength much (just don't over do it). The mount is plastic, so it is very easy to drill out. This will make a noticable difference in sound level, and is free too.

Where can I get a good depinger for this .22 Marauder, and how is it installed, very complicated ?
And I'm not sure what/where the front shroud mount is?
Is it attached to the very end of the muzzle? I haven't taken anything apart on this rifle yet.

Odb moderators are always on sale because they are lousy moderators. I have watched so many videos where an airgun shooter puts on any 0db and there is NO sound suppression whatsoever. They are expensive and look nice however I also have a,fellow airgunner who bought a ODb. He joked that the ZERO in the name is zero sound suppression. Don't waste your money.

I also have the Talon tunes 10inch moderator. It is ridiculously over-priced as you said. They are made in Indonesia for $10 bucks and Tony jacks- up the price to get a huge profit on a mediocre supressor. I used to shop at Talon Tunes, but never again.
