Sig Sauer Simple Mod for Loose Air Bottle on Sig Virtus (And Others?)

I got a my first PCP a Sig Virtus Semiauto .22 last year, and the first thing I noticed was the loose air bottle. This seemed peculiar to me, so naturally, I consulted our modern Oracle of Adelphi a.k.a. YouTube. And what I saw was some guy cutting up a beer can and wedging strips of aluminum into the space between the bottle and the frame. No, I thought, there has to be a better way. So then I consulted Simple Common Sense and came up with the perfect solution.

The solution is a Danco #19 (or other) 1 1/4" OD x 1" ID x 1/8" o-ring. I just slipped it into the bottle slot of the Virtus (you'd understand if you have one), then twisted in the bottle. At least that's how I remember installing it, I don't take the bottle out you see, it messes with the allen key adjustable sleeve, but I don't recall putting it on the bottle then twisting it in. So anyway, now the bottle is fairly rigid even when empty, which I think keeps the threads in good shape.

I hope this helps y'all but don't blame me if it doesn't, it's my first day.
