Just weighed the 300 and 600 and shot them some.
The 300U comes in at just under 11lb. The 600 is 10lb 7 oz. Not a huge difference but they do balance differently. The 300 has a post front and the 600 an annular ring (ghost ring) I really prefer the post but shot the smallest 10 shot group with the 600. The difference in shot cycle is HUGE. The 600 is just a pop with no movement or vibration and a hole appears. The 300 is a vibrating ker-chunka and a good bit slower lock time...
Also shot a pretty good group with my R1 and Mendoza Competencia. Hafta say... my Mendoza is my favorite... The trigger is crisp and under a lb and weighs about 6 lb with absolutely perfect ergos for me. A true joy to shoot... about like an R7 but better stock ☺
