A desired feature that is equally simple to adjust. 
insert barrel as normal, but before you tighten the ratchet, you can easily dial your index number by rotating the barrel. Then ratchet it down to lock in place. As convenient and simple as an outside regulator adjustment

i did an indexing shot at each number focusing on the blue dot
then i slowly turned the barrel until the shot was directly below my point of aim and kept that as my number.

Just learned this about the Indexing System that you all should be aware.
On the Indexing System, there is a free spinning sliver piece that has 2 tabs on it to lock in the ratchet.
You need to look closely at these tabs because 1 is slightly smaller than the other. A little hard to distinguish..maybe mark it in future production??
in the photo, the smaller tab is on top..ya..hard to tell at 1st, but you will see it
When you insert the barrel, you want the smaller tab at the top position.
I also had a small problem thinking that my barrel was stuck and could not be removed.
I had the ratchet all the way to the top level, which was still locking up the barrel.
Solution: From the top position, move the ratchet down 2 clicks and the barrel should remove easily
