Skout Airguns taking Pre-orders for Epoch

Luckily they have no middle man that is retailing the gun. Once/if that happens the price will easily go closer to the price of a Thomas HP-X. Let’s see what happens to the direct to consumer price once the pre-orders are delivered. My guess with inflation is north of $3500.

So I get to decide between a Thomas and a converted paintball gun with unknown performance……decisions, decisions. 🤔

Does anyone have the spec’s on what the rifle can do; concrete numbers? I have seen the video but I haven’t seen any other information on their website except for how the rifle is designed.
Maybe I overlooked the spec’s but before I would even think of shedding that much coin, as a preorder first addition/run, I would need to see what the rifle is truly capable of…
Yeah wheres the specs for these prices its in a competetive market. Specifically slug length for me and basics like i dont know....gun weight!

Hopefully I will get to Tom’s shop this week to shoot his, there is so much I want like about this gun (Regs.,valves electronics etc.) The big issue’s for me is obviously no real world tests yet, support after the sale, barrels, and lack of options or configurations for utilizing the gun in a more traditional Benchrest setting.

For me you can’t compare this gun to a Thomas. (In cost I guess) I think this gun would be more comparable to a Delta Wolf or Impact and that style of shooting.

I see your point, but perhaps a lot of that will depend on how well the Epoch performs. Look at the MSRP of the Delta Wolf and where AoA are selling these guns now from the introductory prices. I also see some benefit to a decent case, the tool and the spare set that comes with the rifle.

So the dealers may actually have to discount if the rifle is a dud. If they jack up the prices, you can go to the factory. As close to a win-win.

Yes I have one (DW) and I've decided to keep it instead of taking a bath on trading it in.
