Skout Airguns Tech Tuesday - HP Reg Update

Thanks. I'm kinda the same way and I've seen the exact same thing trying to achieve the lowest ES in my Thomas HPX. I'm striving for that "optimal balance" of attributes with precision as #1. I have almost a month before my first match with it to find the best combinations.

What do you mean by the LPR will follow automatically?
Watch your LPR gauge when you adjust your HPR reg. As you raise or lower your reg setting, the low pressure reg follows automatically. I shoot my gun in .30 at 1,900psi HPR. I adjusted the LPR up until the gun fired reliably. Which was 160. When I switch to .22 I drop my HPR to 1,250psi. The LPR gauge dropped automatically as I decreased my pressure without me touching it. So for me at least, once I have the balance between the LPR and HPR set, I haven’t had to and don’t plan to touch the LPR again. Unless I see it creeping up too high.

Ah okay, I'll check it out next time I shoot, thanks.

The LPR reg is kind of set it and forget it. The HP reg is your main adjustment. As you adjust the HP reg, the LP reg will adjust or move in a correlation to the HP reg. You rarely have to make an adjustment to the LP reg. It kind of takes care of itself, if you will.
The response I received from Skout:
YES, But remember the Low pressure is more of a set it and forget it. It will go up and down on its on depending on your high pressure setting.

Hope that helps

Darryl,
I forgot, can both the hp and LP reg's be turned up and down under pressure without issue? Happy Hew Year!!
Thx
