I certainly want to thank everyone for their opinions and suggestions with my leading problem. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone reaching out to help.

I’ve found the best thing to pull the lead out is a very tight patch, with whatever you use to clean (I use Ballistol). I’ve tried polishing, but would need diamond compound to actually cut a bit.

Another one to try is Gunzilla, Used by the military. There is also Superzilla, although not recommended for fire arms. You have to send a note to the mfg as to effects on "0" rings although its safe to use on plastics in the case of Superzilla. Been using the gunzilla for 20 years on my powder burners . Gets under and breaks the bond on carbon deposits and such with out etching the steel. Nonpetroleum based both products.
