This included mod appears to be a brass air stripper encased in a standard outer casing. no felt that I can see. How good will it be?

IDK, frankly why was it not added initially? Then again, this gun operates at a substantially lower pressure, so the bark would be less off the bat. I would suggest scouring all the intro videos about this gun and you will see them pull the mod apart, then judge for yourself.

Standard modifications / alterations will happen no matter what. It is just how a lot of us roll

It’s it NOT quiet, that I can tell you. Of course, this is a .30 cal, and I have nothing comparable to know for sure. I have not tried without the mod, but I’d imagine that once some more are in the wild, some mods to the mods will be happening.
