Skout EVO shipping now!

Do you guys have any aspirations to make semi-auto/full-auto models in the future?

I’ve been eyeing the Western Sidewinder, but am not impressed with their triggers and slug performance out of the box. I imagine you guys have the right background to do semi/full incredibly well with your paintball design/manufacturing experience.

Should I wait and not order a Western Sidewinder just yet? 😉

What about a smaller or lighter hunting model? Is there an ETA on that?
If they made a Skout the size of an FX Maverick with a 600mm barrel that weighed 7 pounds and was semi-auto, they would never be in stock because everyone would want one!

They also need to make sure to add some Magpul mounting hardware for a two point sling setup. I was willing to overlook many of the weight and length issues, but not having a way to mount a sling without rigging it kept me away. What do they expect someone to do on a hunt, carry a 14 pound rifle after scope and moderator? 😟

They say the weight of the new EVO is ~8 - 8.5 lbs. That's about the same as a Vulcan 3.

Hi, We realized we missed this feature on the Epoch! The new EVO has QD mounts on the butt stock and on the accessory extended arca rail!

Give Skout a break, along with a big hand! Think about how far they’ve come in just a couple of years. They are out there competing in this market with manufacturers of PCP’s that have been around a long @$$ time. One of these long time company’s that I’m a big fan boy of, just released its fourth generation gun and the majority of comments I see are a bunch of Ho Hum’s and yawns.

Skout, in the pace they are going, will be on the top. It takes time, and they’ll get there. If you look at the recent RMAC finals, there were three finalists with the Skouts, and making the finals at RMAC is a feat indeed. That’s actually really really awesome for a company who just got into the airgun/pcp market just two years ago.

In time, a lighter hunting model will come. In time a good field target version will come. In time a big bore, and some day just a value priced plinker model.

Oh, and the want for a lighter trigger semi auto? Since when? No one else has done it, ever, and I see the same complaints in the powder burner world. I think that has to do with a safety issue. I believe it was Huben who came the closest but having never owned one, I cannot validate

It’s not the pull weight that bothers me about the Western triggers, it is the excessive pretravel and overtravel. I like button-like single stage triggers, or at least as little overtravel as possible.

Awesome! Will the benchrest butt stock see a revision with QD mounts for those who want to run the EVO as a multipurpose bencher/hunter/plinker; or some kind of first party Addon to it for the QD point(s) from you guys?

Yes, when we make a gen 2 Benchrest butt stock we will include QD mounts on them!

It would be interesting to see, if Skout with their technology and know how could make a light / nimble air rifle, CUZ i do by looks consider their 2 current offerings for heavier purpose build rifles.

I cant judge 4 real though CUZ i never had one of these in my hands, dont even think there is one in the whole of Denmark.

I know there is actually 1 in Denmark ;) :geek: 🎯
