Slip on recoil pad, 392pa

I think there are number of 392/397 owners that wish the stock was a bit longer. I had made an extention with traditional rubber recoil pad. It works great. Shoulders well, and adds enough lop to be just right for me. Looks wise it has never been my favorite. Decided to take a shot on a slip on. Lace up style recoil pad. It took a bit to get it right. Going back and tightening the laces 3 and 4 times. Now that it's on, and holding tight to the stock, plus lacing around the sling stud adds an extra layer of stability, it feels pretty darn good. Lop is a bit shorter than my earlier design, but still quite reasonable. Looks wise it's a big improvement to my eye. What do you think?

That turned out really nice ! Maybe just add a cross hair with a bulls eye in the middle and center it on both sides. You do nice work, how many hours do you have into it may I ask. I've been thinking of adding a piece of brass too my butt stock if I can ever find the time and BTW I really like the stitching and hole design 👍 👍 .

As much I would like to take credit for the leather work it is only purchased as a slip on recoil pad for shotguns. The getting it fit a 392 stock with relatively small dimensions is the only thing I can take any credit for.
