Decided to jump on the slug bandwagon and I’ve been surprised at the results I've been getting out of my Impact and 600mm pellet liner B. Spent a couple hours grouping several different projectiles today. Turns out that several of the new slug designs do very well with this set up.
I shot 4 5-shot groups at 50 yards with each pellet, starting with the power wheel set at max then 5, 4 etc. I don’t consider myself a great shot, it was about 20 degrees outside today but no wind and all of them performed ok... some shot really well.
Best groups :
1 - JSB monster redesigned (.26” CTC) - for reference
2 - FX hybrid slugs (.74” CTC)
3 - H&N slugs .217 23grn (.33” CTC)
4 - H&N slugs .217 25grn (.43” CTC)
5 - H&N slugs .217 27grn (.41” CTC)
6 - NSA .217 20.3grn (44” CTC)
7 - NSA .218 24.8grn (.35” CTC)
8 - H&N slugs .218 23grn (.62” CTC)
9 - H&N slugs .218 25grn (.38” CTC)
10 - H&N slugs .218 27grn (.44” CTC)
All slugs tended to hold tightest between 920 and 960 fps. I gotta say the slugs are performing about as well as any pellet I’ve seen. Anyone else trying slugs in the B liner?
