Slug the bore not the choke. I have no experience doing so, but I came across enough information when reading about the topic to feel confident that it can be done. I assume that experimentation comes in handy when testing for accuracy when shooting slugs as would with any ammo. If slugs are what you want and your choked barrel does not perform, altering the barrel or swapping barrels are also options.
