Shooting a Wildcat 3 bt, reg at 120 pwr at 7.. switchin from hn barracuda hunter supremes to their grizzly slugs. I seem to be having some (“i shoot better than this..”) issues. Anybody else?
I finally found some slugs that a couple of my guns shoot at least fairly well late last year. I had more trouble finding an accurate slug than an accurate pellet and still do not have one for most of my guns. I tried Grizzlies in my 2 25s and both hate them. One of my guns likes a NSA slug and another likes a fairly light H&N slug.
Slugs are no different than pellets in the respect that it's a trial & error method to find "the one" that works best. Keep trying & asking others experience too. There's a reason that there's not overwhelming praise for Grizzlies. See what other owners of the same gun are using.
Hmmm! I found that the scope had twitched slightly. Effed me up for about four tins (hey, impretty new at this). Im doin o.k. With em but not best accuracy. I really like their knockdown tho. Six squirrels today, only one ran off. Two doa and couple crippled for coup de gras. So… thank you guys for your info and thots. They mostly run off and die with the hunter’s. This forum rocks
Grizzly slugs are garbage. Tried them in 3 calibers in 3 known good sluggers, just trash. Melt them and cast into a good slug. 25 is tricky for FX. .249 work well,NSA,,FX hybrids, Zan and plenty of others.
Run offs mean you didn't place the shot properly (mine too). You can't fix bad placement with a different projectile. I have no problem getting DRT results, especially with 25s, with simple domed pellets.
