I have been looking at rat hunting with air guns videos on YouTube. I need to get my order into Pyramyd Air in tomorrow morning so busy reading reviews of what they recommend. Once that order is in, I will watch the videos you recommend. Thank you. You're really using the wrong tool for the job. A gun is not what you need you need. As I suggested before what you didn't look at it is review a lot of videos on YouTube on this channel twin home experts. These guys have solved infestation problems probably much worse than yours. Shooting might be fun and entertaining and rewarding but shooting one while the other rats will scatter and only shooting one every few hours is not going to solve your problem. It also is going to take up a lot of time and grow old very quickly.
Thank you! Don't know what this means yet but copying it on my list of questions to ask Pyramyd Air in the morning. Really appreciate the feedback. That is exactly what I would get only in .50 to make sure I would anchor them so they cant crawl off and eat my neighbors chickens.
Umarex notos .177 or .22 is very quiet and compact the stock is optional in fact. I would turn down the air volume per shot because….its a rat however then you have a low cost laser of a PCP for small game. And as others have said stop feeding them lol, I understand you dont want them to eat your house but now they are just breeding and breeding I think you may be beyond shootin your way out of this one(didn’t think those words would ever come out of my mouth). Get a 5 gal bucket and attach a rod to a plate that will just fit in the bucket put water in bucket to kill no water and they cant escape but theyll start eating each other pretty dang quick. However bait the top they walk on it it spins and drops them in and resets itself. A quick google search will bring up tons of instructional vids.Serious rat infestation: Need to kill hundreds of big rats. Must be QUIET.
Very little room, no rifle will fit. From 4 inches to 4 feet max room, mostly 1 foot.
Need to be able to fire many times in quick succession.
Air gun? Pellets? Tranquilizer gun?
I know zero about guns so baby talk explain this please. Tell me exactly what I need to buy, what kind of ammo, what to make it QUIET.
Is there a store that can help me? Name of store, location? I am near Portland, Oregon. Online URL?
Money is not a factor, will spend whatever it takes to get a weapon / tool / devise to kill these rats.
Fiberglass/plastic fence panels right behind rats so don't want to destroy fence.
Have trap I can put rats into and drown immediately, and metal gloves to pick them up, in case they aren't dead yet.
Also willing to pay well for a good "shooter" to come kill the rats. Need help!

yeah and poison from the dart frogs
I need one! More on the blo-gun please.Capsaicin-dipped blowgun darts works well on rats; the pain shocks them death.
I used to smear my dart tips (vinyl cone darts and Tri-Disc darts) with siling labuyo, a local chili, but I was deadly accurate with blowguns, so it was either neck or head shots for me.

Nice! I'm thinking carbon fibre? Yes...no?My blowguns are custom-made, Tn sir.
Also had a glass .45 caliber one but a mishap broke it in half.
I also own polished stainless ones in .45 and .50 caliber (left and middle). The ones on top are both .55 caliber.
In my native land, I had access to a multitude of machine shops, so I had jigs, shapers, punch tools, etc. for precise dart-making; I made it into a science

Carbon tubes are hard to get smooth and uniform on the inside, I guess it could be done but not cheap.Nice! I'm thinking carbon fibre? Yes...no?
