Smith Wesson 78G

I have both a 78 and a 79G. I have recently repaired the Co2 piercing caps on my 79 and Crosman Mark1 so started shooting them again after ten years at rest. I was quite surprised, after that long at rest, when I put a new cart in and they both held pressure. But the 78 needs a piercing cap before I can shoot it. They are nice shooting and accurate guns the trigger on mine could use a little adjusting though long pull and a bit gritty let off.

I have this one with .22 bbl packed away somewhere.

smackdn775,

Don't know where in Texas you might be, but if close to Lake Buchanan and have something to trade, I might be persuaded to part with one of my 79G pistols. I've been adding several of the vintage bulk fed and CO2 cartridge guns to my collection. Most of my CO2 guns are shot in my shop, even in the summer. However I do enjoy my HPA airguns also.

Most of the vintage CO2 guns are very accurate.

Thanks for the offer, but maybe should rephrase "collection"...I'm just starting to look into these vintage airguns, so at the moment don't have anything to trade. I actually inherited the 78g I own and it's such a nice pistol I figured at some point I would get the 79g so I'm going to start tracking sale prices. I am also starting to get into PCP airguns so that is currently where the majority of money has been going. I'm always interested in seeing and learning about what other folks have so maybe we can get together at some point. I'm up in Fort Worth but during summer time I sometimes head down to Marble Falls.
