Smith Wesson 78G

I got a 78g off ebay last week, and had it out a few minutes ago. Shooting at about 20 yards (long paces) off a not extremely steady patio table using one of the cheap combo rifle/pistol rests from Caldwell. The light was not great, very strong & bright over my shoulder so not the best sight picture, but if I did my job I could get small groups where all shots were touching. My eyes are also not the greatest, cataracts and thousands of floaters due to another condition, plus 75 years old. It's still fun to step out the back door and shoot a little without having to drive 50 miles. I am going to have to start noticing sound so I can see when the CO2 cartridge starts running down, or either count shots.

Yes.

How did you mount that scope to the it and what's the story with the brass barrel exiting the muzzle? More importantly, how did you mount that scope to it?

BG, I drilled and tapped the top-strap to accept a 3/8" tip-off scope base for FLAT receivers, to use 3/8" tip-off scope mounts.

The barrel on my adjustable-trigger 78G was smooth-bore when I got it. So I cut a piece of brass (bronze?) Filipino Co2 rifle barrel, and machined it to fit the 78G. The extra length at the muzzle end was in case I screwed up my first attempt at machining the ass-end.
