Smoking some fatty squirrels... winter pest control, vol 3

img-4770.png

Volume 3 came quickly on the heels of Volume 2 as we had an early season popup storm that caught everyone (humans and critters) off guard a bit. The Squirrels were out in full force scrambling for food. A few of these guys looked like they haven't missed a meal.

There was even a chipmunk!! Crazy to see them in the snow... and at night! I figured it out though what was going on after I published this video. The city put a bunch of poison out in the alley behind my neighbors garage. I had a squirrel that was acting really strange in this video as well as seeing a chipmunk at night...in a storm! They were out looking for water as a result of the poison. I was able to dispatch them quickly. While the poison is certainly effective, it's a pretty brutal death. I actually got a notice the other day that the pest control company we have in my town is now switching to birth control?!?. Basically feeding pests something that makes them sterile. It will be a couple years before we see the rat population reduce... so the Leshiy and her friends will be getting plenty of work.

Speaking of friends... checkout these limited time colors. I picked up the desert sand one, and will be showing the custom stuff I'm doing to it soon.

I sure hope no one eats those fat squirrels.

Per the OP:

"...The city put a bunch of poison out in the alley behind my neighbors garage. I had a squirrel that was acting really strange in this video as well as seeing a chipmunk at night..."

Exactly. She cut the one open and found it had partially bled out. I shot it in the head, so I know it wasn’t from the pellet

Hey Tim! Another excellent video. After commenting on the first video I saw of yours I went to youtube, subscribed, and binge watched. Keep them coming!

I agree. Subscribed as well. I also like when you described what gun was used, pellets and FPE it was tuned for. It's pretty crazy that you have all these different pest roaming around your back yard.

No problem. You're good.

Been too damn busy and meaning to watch this & other videos. Gotta tell ya, I love your narration, great shooting (gun & camera) too.

Now I know you love that .25, with good reason I see, but I would love to see more of that .177 in action.

will do... I have a cool video I'm working on about .177 Vs .25 in the same ft/lbs. you'll see lots of .177 in that

Thanks for watching... and I'm glad you're enjoying it!
