Snowpeak snowpeak m60b titanium bottle

My Snowpeak M60B .35, around $605 from Krale in March. Aluminum bottle thick/heavy, rated 250 bar, removable to fill with included adapter but lose pressure in gun doing so. Re-attaching refills gun but lose some pressure in tank. Wes, at airgunarcheryfun, in Canada, sells Snowpeak replacement collars, with installed 8mm male fill probe, cost $37 to-my-door. WM

I ordered my M60B back in early February but they were out of the collars with the fill probe added. So I paid for the optional small cylinder and had him ship it with that to make it easier to fill. They were supposed to send the new collar and aluminum bottle when the next shippment came in. It came and went and I'm still waiting?

Who did you order it through?

Effective last October M60Bs had installed male fill port from Snowpeak. Problem was Krale still had early models, with removable bottle fill design, in the slower selling .35. Never thought to ask, just figured new version would be shipped. Had to get on Wes's Waiting List from airgunarcheryfun for upgraded collar. Couple months later Wes e-mailed collars were in so placed order. .35 is thirsty caliber so air lost to re-attach tank was several lost shots, unacceptable. All good now, no waiting list to get Snowpeak from Krale, just need to make sure new fill port collar is included, Krale won't volunteer the info. WM

How bad do you want one?

Thanks for the offer Firewalker, but I will wait. I paid for the M60B with the bottle and was told I would be sent the improved collar and the aluminum bottle when the next batch comes. Just getting frustrated is all. The small cylinder doesn't hold a lot of air for bench shooting. Works pretty well for carrying afield while hunting though. Lesson learned about doing parcial order and waiting for the rest when shipments from China or other countries are involved.

I'm sure that SPA doesn't offer a titanium alloy cylinder or bottle for anything they make. Titanium is a lot more expensive than aluminum and also much harder to work with. It is light for it's strength but I doubt it would be lighter than a carbon fiber reinforced aluminum bottle. As I've said before, I think the carbon fiber bottles are also safer because the carbon fiber overwrap would seem to contain any holes or tears in the aluminum liner preventing them from flying away - potentially in your direction. I see carbon fiber reinforced bottles as the best option. I'm not sure SPA ships with those either but Wes at Air Archery Fun will sell you a M60 with a carbon fiber bottle.
